Creating a side hustle is something that you may have thought about from time to time. I know I have!
That’s exactly why I wanted to write a little about it in what I like to call, “Side Hustle 101”. Basically, just some side hustle ideas to think about.
But what side hustle is actually going to make you a little extra cash so you can order those impulse buys on Amazon or buy those concert tickets you wanted, but wasn’t within your budget.
Speaking of impulse buys, check out these three items I recently bought and love:
Anyway, back to the 101 in “Side Hustle 101”
When it comes to a side hustle, most of us are thinking in terms of “how much money will I make?” I think there is value in creating a side hustle that begins with providing high quality services first and money second. I do this to help with the disappointment if I remain broke!
I’d rather tell you about a couple side hustles I actually enjoy doing.
First, blogging is a great way to begin your side hustle….hustle. When you blog, you add value to others in the form of expressions and information. Blogging seems to be the way to start as it attracts a following, which you can use later as a lead generator. Although it won’t make much dinero, you can sign up to be an Amazon Affiliate and add links to your blog posts. If people click on them, Amazon pays you. Simple, right?
Blogging is such a good way to get your thoughts and ideas on paper. For me, I use it to add value as well as generate leads in hopes people will consider booking me as a speaker for their event or buy my book. Both of which can be found HERE.
Its fun because even if they don’t buy your product or service, you are constantly providing content. This leads to other positive outcomes like social media engagement and followers.
Second to blogging, I think building products and selling them could be a great side hustle as well. You just need to know your industry and who it attracts. Then, find a problem they are having and solve it for them! I wrote a separate post on this called, “How I created and sold a product part-time”. Click HERE to check that out!
Ready for a final side hustle idea?
Lastly, you can do something like build an online course that helps people with something specific. Through your blog and social media presence, you can get what are called, “warm followers”, that is, followers that believe in what you are doing. These are the people most likely to invest their hard earned money in what you have to say. I have an online course I am currently working on and can’t wait to share it with all of you!
Regardless of what you choose, DON’t WAIT. Just go for it. Worst case is you learn something! Good luck on your side hustle and don’t forget to follow me on FB and IG @therealkehl
